👋 Hello!

I'm a junior UX designer and University of Washington grad with a degree in Informatics: Human-Computer Interaction. While most of my interest is in design, I enjoy project management and coding too.

When I have some free time you can find me repeating the same songs on Spotify, listening to comedy podcasts, and (season permitting) skiing.

Why me?

I bring value with experience designing across different mediums and modalities. I have design experience with not only apps and websites, but in virtual reality, augmented reality, and voice assistants. I have explored designs not just using cursors and touchscreens, but through our voice, our gaze, and our movements in a 3D space. The future of UX design is expanding rapidly, and some of the greatest opportunities for new design is outside the realm of 2D. Still, I'm still looking to gain experience in design regardless of the medium.

What's Informatics though?

I'm studying Informatics - that means I study how we interact with the devices around us, how we can perform research on this, and how we can implement it in the real world. Where computer science teaches us how to work at a tech company as a developer, Informatics teaches us how to do the rest of the jobs there. This means we join companies as user experience designers, product managers, consultants, and data scientists.

Actually - most people end up doing software dev anyways. So maybe that description wasn't very good.

With a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction, most of my coursework is dedicated towards topics like design and research methods, information architecture, visual design, and interaction design.
